"I originally was using a tutor in the San Diego region and visited this individual in person. However, after receiving less than solid results I searched for a different tutor and discovered Joe and J&E. Joe lives at least 90 minutes from me and introduced me to Skype, a video and voice conferencing system. Subsequently, Skype allows me to avoid the time and stress of travel, as well as allows me to devote the time I would have wasted traveling towards my family or other activities. Since financial methods is a numbers based course I am very congniscent of the fact that 'time is money.' As a researcher I personally found little need for financial methods since I would always utilize the subject matter experts in this area. If I were to solely depend upon my own skills with regards to 'numbers' there would always be a chance that my conclusions to validate my research would be flawed. I have received(6) college and University degrees both via extension and traditional studies, and have been successful in both realms. As such, whether a tutor is next to me or simply across the table on my computer screen it makes no difference. However, there are several factors that make a difference to me. The first is if the instructor/tutor is the "subject matter expert", which Joe is. The second is regarding the instructor's patience and ability for that instructor to identify where my weakness are.
